根据短文内容,判断1-5小题句子的正(A)或误(B)。

Every living thing needs to reproduce(繁殖). Reproducing means creating more members of your group. In order for plants to reproduce, they have to spread their seeds(种子)to other areas. Plants have developed all kinds of ways to do this.

The simplest way is gravity(重力). Many seeds are inside of fruit. When fruit gets too heavy, it falls from a tree to the ground. Sometimes animals will pick up the fruit and drop it in another area. That helps move the seed even farther away. Apples spread this way.

Other plants use wind to spread their seeds. Dandelions(蒲公英)are a good example of this. Dandelion seeds are so light that when wind blows, it carries dandelion seeds to new places. Maple(枫树)seeds also use wind. Their seeds are connected with long, thin leaves that look like wings. When the seed falls from the tree, its “wings” help it fly farther from the tree.

Some animals help plants spread their seeds. The animals eat the seeds. While the seed is in the animal’s body, it stays whole. When the seed leaves the animal, it’s in a new place.

Ants also help spread seeds. Some seeds have a special smell that appeals to ants. The ants bring the seeds back to their home, which of course is underground. They only eat part of the seed. They leave the rest of the seed underground. After that, the seed can start growing.

1. When fruit gets heavy enough, it will fall from a tree to the ground because of gravity.

2. All plants can spread seeds by themselves.

3. Wind helps apple and dandelion seeds to fly farther to new places.

4. Some animals and ants eat seeds, and it is helpful for seeds to spread.

5. The passage is mainly about the relationship between animals and plants.

Have you ever seen that cows are lined up? New Zealand is so large. It is impossible for people to milk cows by hand. So the farmers trained the leading cow to take the cows to the milking station twice a day. The leading cow has a sensor(传感器)on its head. When it is time for milking, the sensor warns the leading cow to take the lead.

Horses are mainly raised for viewing(观赏)and racing, so the coat color is very important. Wearing sunscreen(防晒)clothes on horses can avoid the harm from the sun. Several large companies have begun creating paper bottles to replace glass and plastic ones.

A company called Paboco has been working with many large companies to develop paper bottles. These companies are creating their own bottle designs.

Clearly, one of the biggest challenges is keeping a paper bottle from leaking (渗漏). The inside of the bottle needs a special liner (衬层) to make sure the liquid doesn’t leak through. Many companies are lining their bottles with thin plastic.

Though bottle makers may say this liner can be removed and recycled, many recycling programs don’t have the right machines to deal with these liners.

A Danish beer company called Carlsberg is working with Paboco on a paper bottle called the “Green Fiber Bottle”. Now the bottle uses a plastic liner. In the future the company hopes to use a “bio-plastic (生物塑料)” that will break down naturally over time.

But even without the plastic, paper bottles aren’t perfect. Most paper bottles use wood pulp (木浆). That could lead to the loss of forests.

Frugalpac, a company from the United Kingdom, has created bottles made of recycled paper, so no trees need to be cut down. Frugalpac still uses plastic liners, though.

But with so many companies working towards the same goal, we will see more paper bottles on store shelves in the near future.

During ancient times in China, children didn’t have any smartphones, iPads or computers to have fun. Instead, they came up with interesting games to play in their childhood. Let’s take a look.

Stone balls During the Qing Dynasty, kicking a stone ball around was a popular sport in the northern part of China, and it was often played in winter to keep warm. Stones were carved (雕刻) into small balls and kicked along with feet.

Flying kites Kites have quite a long history. The earliest kites were made of wood, instead of paper. Nowadays, the three most famous kites are the Beijing kite, Tianjin kite, and Weifang kite. And they are quite different from each other. For example, the swallow-shaped kite is a well-known Beijing style.

Hide-and-seek Hide-and-seek is a traditional game for children, popular around the nation. There are two ways to play: covering a child’s eyes while other kids run around to enjoy themselves or, more commonly, one child must try to find other players who hide.

Watching shadow plays The closest thing to watching a film or television for fun during ancient times was going to see a shadow play. Success is often considered to be the opposite of failure. To teenagers, it is the achievement of a goal or completion of something they really need, such as good grades and the ability to get along well with their classmates. Some schools used to agree with most parents who measured (判定) the success of their children according to grades, but now they pay special attention to moral (道德的) education and character-building to make sure teenagers achieve success in building human relationships.

Schools give chances to students to discover their hidden ability so that they can enjoy some form of success.
