Have you ever planted a few trees on Tree Planting Day? Each year, millions of people, both , plant a lot of trees. But this may not be the best way to make your home a place.
Last week we visited a park in Hebei. We were to find most of the trees had been burned. The workers told us that the trees soon after they were planted because they weren’t watered well enough. workers burned them and cleaned the place for trees to be planted this year. a card found in one of the dead trees, a student wrote,“I hope this tree will grow up with me to the backbone (栋梁) of our country.” The workers said that the survival(存活) of the trees was really more important than trees were planted.
Some people in Beijing now have a new idea that they can donate (捐赠) some money and let professional (专业人士) plant and the trees.

I was in the most beautiful city in the world, yet I only wanted home.
It was an amazing week for my husband and me –the trip of a lifetime. Months ago, when my husband told me that he would have a meeting in London. I expressed my to go to Europe together with him. Then we asked his mother to our two children and started off.
During the week’s time, visited London and Paris –as much as we could, Big Ben, the Louvre and so on. All these were beautiful places we expected to see before. We really enjoyed ourselves.
On our last night in Paris, we enjoyed the night view(夜景) of the Eiffel Tower, my husband called home. His mother the phone. In a second, my husband’s face fell and he looked so worried. I could feel something happened.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
He didn’t answer and continued to listen. A few minutes later, he said to me that Tony, our seven-year-old son, had fallen off his bike and his leg. He must be sent to hospital at once.
At that moment, Paris suddenly lost its charm(魅力).
“I don’t want to be here! I shouldn’t be here! I should be home my kids!”
We hurried back to our hotel and then to the airport …
Finally, we got home. We rushed into our children’s bedroom. Seeing our two children, I suddenly realized the truth: there is no sight(风景)in the world than your children’s faces that greet you at home.

Most of us have three meals a day .We take food for granted(想当然)。And we don’t think about it. experts argue a food crisis(危机)is coming. This crisis is going to make us the way we think about food.
Food is in great need a growing of world population.By 1960,the population was three billion. It doubled to six billion by 1999.By 2050,this planet will need to at least nine billion people. As a result, the food prices get higher and higher.
So,what can a ,crowed world do?One suggestion is to eat meat.Meat uses more natural resources(资源)than grains(谷物) .It requires more to produce one pound of meat than to produce one pound of grain. It also requires between 5 and 10 times more than vegetables. So ,eating less meat will more land for farming, and it will save water.
To eats less meat, people will need to change their eating habits. That will not be .Americans, for example, have loved meat. In general, They eat twice as much meat as people in other countries. At the same time,in developing countries like China and Brazil, sales of meat have doubled in the last 20 years. will double again by 2050.Growing need of meat wil1 to put pressure on natural resources.
World population is increasing, resources are becoming fewer, and food prices are rising. Therefore, we need to rethink we eat every day. For meat lovers, we don’t need to give up meat .But we need to eat more grains and less meat.21cnjy
