Wang Hongyue,14,Sichuan
I feel happy when I'm with my family. My parents never compare me with other kids.My mom will say "well done" or "thank you" if I help to do the housework.
I especially like my brother.I still remember when I was eight.I had a bad stomachache. My parents were not at home,so it was my brother, then 14,took me to the hospital. For me,happiness has nothing to do with money.Having a loving and caring family is enough.
Ren Xuyang,14,Guangdong
I feel happy while trying to help others.Last year,I visited a special school for students with weak sight or hearing loss (丧失).It is difficult for them to write and read pinyin,so I taught them over and over. For over 3 hours,we repeated the same work, but we didn't feel tired. As an old saying goes, "The rose is in her hand, the flavor in mine. "
Zhan Danyuan,15,Shanxi
I feel happy when I hang out with my friends and do something together.Last winter, three friends and I performed an original (原创的)song at a school party. At first,we wrote down how we felt about each other,Then,we corrected our mistakes and practiced. Finally, when we sang in the arena (舞台),the audience (观众)were excited. For me,happiness is doing something that I love with like﹣minded (志趣相投的)people.

In the past, I thought I was terrible at many things, such as math, French and science. Although I was good at drawing, I wasn't the best in my art class.I wanted to find out who I was, what I liked and how I could do it better. So, that winter,I took a notebook and kept my diary. When I filled that notebook,I started another one, and then another.
Keeping a diary helps a lot. Studies have shown that people who keep a diary sleep and feel better. It helps people remember what once happened such as dreams, friendships and happiness. Writing about bad feelings can also help brains get over themand move on. Personally, I learn better about myself and my relationships with others by keeping a diary. For example, when I am fighting with my dad, I'll try writing from his point and it works! If I want to compare myself with my classmates.I'll write something like,"I might not have clear skin, but I like my eyes."
Right about now, you might be thinking: it sounds great, but I'm not a good writer; or I'd love to keep a diary, but my handwriting is terrible. Don't worry! Keeping a diary is not like doing your homework ﹣there are no rules, so do whatever feels best.

Characters:
"I"﹣Storyteller Bertie﹣storyteller's husband The White Prince﹣a lion
…
We never had children of our own﹣just The White Prince﹣and I can tell you, he was enough of a family for anyone. He walked freely in the park just as we had planned he would, and ran after the deer and the rabbits whenever he felt like it; but be never did learn how to kill for himself. You can't teach old lions new tricks. He lived on deer mostly, and slept on a sofa in our living room﹣I wouldn't have him inside our bedroom, no matter(无论) how often Bertie asked. You know, I have to draw the line somewhere.
Bertie's leg was never cured. When it was bad, he often needed a stick, or me, or the lion to lean on. It pained him a lot, especially on cold and wet days, and he never slept well. On Sundays the three of us would walk around the park together, and Bertie would sit on the top of Wood Hill with his arm around the lion's neck and I would fly kites. You know, I've always loved kites. And the lion liked to break them into pieces.
The lion never showed any interest in running away, and even if he'd wanted to, the park wall was too high for an old lion to jump over. Wherever. Bertie went, he wanted to go too. And if ever Bertie went out in the car, then he'd sit by me in the kitchen, and watch me with those great amber eyes, listening all the while for the sound of Bertie's car coming up the path to the front of the house.
The lion was getting older. And he became weak in his legs and could see very little. He spent his last days sleeping at Bertie's feet. When he died, we buried(埋葬) him at the bottom of the hill. Bertie's wanted it that way so he could always see the place from the kitchen window. I suggested Bertie plant a tree in case(以防) he forgot where the lion was. "I will, but he should get more than a tree." Bertie said.
Bertie was sad for weeks, months after the lion died. There was nothing I could do to cheer him or even comfort him. He would sit for hours in his room, or go off on long walks by himself. He seemed so shut away inside himself, so distant(遥远的). Try as I did. I could not reach him.

On the morning of her birthday, the husband got up early, made her a nice breakfast and then took her to the local amusement park.He put her on every ride in the park-the Slide, the Roller Coaster(过山车) and the Wall of Fear....They tried everything there was in the park.
When they went out of the park five hours later, she felt tired and hungry.Right away, they hurried to a McDonald's where her loving husband ordered her a Happy Meal with a chicken hamburger and a large cup of chocolate shake.
Then they were off to the cinema to see the latest movie, complete with a hot dog, popcorn,a big drink and a huge bag of M&M's,her favorite sweets.
After that, the husband drove his heavy wife to the biggest store in the city. There he bought her several dolls that little girls like best.
It was a really busy day.The husband was so proud of what he did for his loving wife.
Finally she went home with her husband and threw herself into the sofa.He asked his loving wife with a big smile, "Well, dear, what was it like being ten years old again?"
