We often face the following situations in our daily life:
•The woman next door plays her piano after 12 o'clock at night
•The family across the street never cleans up their yard. The rubbish blows into your yard.
•The man next door always parks his car in front of your drive.
Have things like this ever happened to you?If so,you may ask yourself,"Who are these people? Why are they doing these things to me?"
These days, many people don't know their neighbors.Sometimes we share a friendly smile or say hello, but lots of people don't even know their neighbor's names! When you don't know someone,it's easy to be angry when something has happened that you think is unfair. You think,"Maybe they like to make me angry,"or"Maybe they do it on purpose."Believe it or not, your neighbors probably don't mean to irritate you.Often, they don't even know that they're making you feel angry. So before you take unusual steps to fix the problem, you should discuss it with them first.
When you move towards your neighbors, you should talk to them in a friendly manner.Praise their children to make them feel good. Then explain the situation. And if you can think of a simple way to solve the problem, suggest it.
If talking doesn't work, ask another person to help,This person can listen to both sides of the story and help you and your neighbor solve the situation.
Finally, sometimes it's a good idea to avoid the problem.Depending on the problem,it might be best to just stay out of your neighbor's way.

Hi,my name is Evan and being the eldest child in the family surely has its disadvantages.First of all,I have to share all my toys and games with my younger Siblings,William and Julia.Of course, they don't need to return the favour because I'm totally uninterested in their things.Besides that,Julia and William are always hanging around me.It's especially annoying when I have a friend over.We look for a secluded place in the house where they can't disturb (打扰) us,but within minutes, they've found us and are asking to join in.I just can't seem to get a moment's peace. At meal times,I have to eat whatever is on my plate regardless of the portion size or taste.William and Julia only need to try one bite when it's not their favorite food. Not only this, but I'm expected to be cooperative (合作的,配台的) at all times because I'm the oldest and need to be a role model for them.
It doesn't seem fair either that I have more chores to do around the house than Julia and William put together.Plus, when it comes to practising our musical instruments,I have to practise more than double the time.Oh,and the worst part of it all is the huge quantities of homework I get compared to them.
I'm feeling rather annoyed with my sibling situation. Can you please write back with some advice?
Yours truly
Evan Smith

Do the British really get together every afternoon at 4to sit and drink several cups of tea? Ask any of my German students and they will tell you "YES!" But it's simply not sure.
We drink over 150million cups of tea a day in Britain, but there is no special time for it. "Tea" is wildly used as a meal for the evening meal. This is more common in Scotland and the north of England but you can hear it all over the country. Unusually it is the main meal of the day, eaten between 5and 7.
