My favorite book is the Little Prince written by the French writer Antoine. The book tells about how children see the world. It's so interesting that I can't help reading it over and over again.

The prince is kind and innocent (天真无邪的),so he doesn't understand why people want to have power, wealth and praises so much.He flew to different planets to find the answer, but finally he still had no idea. In fact, he also had his own problems. In the past, he fell in love with a red rose that was beautiful but vainglorious (自负的). Later, he left the rose because of her vanity (自负).On the earth,he made friends with a fox. They lived together for some time, but in the end he made up his mind to leave to find his rose. To his surprise, the rose was dead, and the planet was full of monkey bread trees. It's a pity that he lost his rose forever.

In my opinion, I think he should value the friendship with the fox, because, after all, the rose was dead. The friendship is important as well. The story is about friendship, love and humanity(人性).It's helpful for us students to think more about the world. So let's open it and take a great journey along with the little prince.

根据短文内容判断所给句子正(T)误(F).

How has technology made your life easier? When you go to a shopping mall, you can enjoy free Wi﹣Fi there. When you want to take a taxi, you can book one with your phone. In fact, all of these things can be seen in a smart city.

The idea of a smart city was first suggested by tech company IBM in 2010.Generally,a smart city is a city that uses digital technology, such as 5G network and the"internet of things", to save money and energy, and make our lives more convenient.

Cities like Boston, Amsterdam and Copenbagen are already using smart technology to improve public services. In the US cities of Boston and Baltimore, smart dust bins can sense( 感知) how full they are and tell workers when they need to be cleaned. In Amsterdam, traffic is monitored and changed according to real﹣time data collected from sensors around the city. There are fewer traffic jams.

Smart cities will allow us to save energy. By using sensors and 5G networks to check the usage of water, gas and electricity, city managers can find out how to use these energy better. For example, water and gas pipes(管道) could remind repair workers when there is something wrong. Air pollution could be more closely monitored, too.

What's more, telehealth is used with the help of 5G. Telehealth means caring for patients from far away when the provider and the patient are not in the same place.

One form of this is video meeting with a doctor in real time, the same to a WeChat video call. It will also give older people or those living in the countryside an easier way to see a doctor. There are many exciting apps for 5G tech in medicine. One of them is far﹣away operations. In March, China's first 5G﹣based brain operation was done by a doctor in Sanya,Hainan, who operated on a Parkinson's patient in Bejing. In August, China Daily reported that robots in Beiing performed three operations in Xinjiang,Tianjin and Zhangjiakou at the same time.

Of course, it will take time to build the smart cities of the future. But since we've already seen successful examples, it won't be long until more cities join in. Tech Republic believes that by 2050, about 60 percent of people worldwide will live in smart cities.

根据上文内容判断正(T)误(F)

(1)From the examples of smart cities, we know that it won't be so crowded in the future. ____

(2)From the passage we learn about three fifths of cities will be turned into smart cities by 2050.

(3)Because of 5G networks and sensors, workers can check and monitor public services in time in smart cities.

(4)People who live in the countryside can see a doctor by telehealth.

(5)A doctor did three operations with the help of 5G at the same time.

According to a 2018 study from San Francisco State University, nearly 2. 4 billion people around the world used a smartphone in 2017. By the end of 2019, more than a third of the global population will be using a smartphone.

However smartphone technology can be a double edged sword On the one hand, it sends us unlimited amounts of information. On the other hand, using a smartphone may become an addiction.

Erik Peper and Richard Harvey are both health education professors at San Francisco State university. They led the study. Peper explains that smartphone addiction forms connections in the brain that are similar to drug addiction. And these connections form slowly over time. Also, addiction to social media may affect our emotional state. The two professors asked 135 university students about their habit of smartphone use and their feelings. They found that students who used their phones the most reported higher levels of feeling lonely, depressed and anxious.

Peper and Harvey do not blame users for their technology addiction. They believe it is the tech industry's desire to make more money that is to blame for the technology addiction. The researchers warm that workers in the technology industry know how to control our brains and turn us into addicts.

But the researchers say that we can limit our brains to be less addicted to our phones and computers. Erik Peper suggests timing off our phones before we sleep or do something important. The researchers also suggest taking control of when and where you answer texts or emails. You do not need to answer them all. And you certainly don't need to answer them as soon as you get them. They also suggest putting limits on the time you spend on social media. If you want to catch up with friends on Facebook, set aside a small amount of time to it.you should focus on important tasks and do not allow technology to disturb you.

A warm drink of milk before bed has long been the best choice for those wanting a good night′s sleep. But now a study has found it really does help people nod off﹣ if it is milked from a cow at night.

Researchers have discovered that" night milk" has more melatonin(褪黑激素),which has been proven to help people feel sleepy and less worried.

In the study, mice were fed with dried milk powder made from cows milked both during the day and at night by researchers from Seoul, South Korea.

Those given night milk, which had 10 times the amount of melatonin, were less active and less worried than those fed with the milk collected during daytime, according to the study published in The Journal of Medicinal Food.

Night milk quicken the start of sleep and caused the mice to sleep longer.

While the effect of milk harvested at different time has not been tested on humans up to now, taking melatonin medicine has been suggested to those who are trying to fall asleep at night.

Studies have also showed that milk can be excellent for helping sleep because there is calcium(钙)in it, which helps people to relax.

Milk is also sugar﹣free because it is the least fattening. The more fat you take in before bedtime, the greater burden you will have on your body at night.
