When someone has deeply hurt you, it can be extremely difficult to let go of your anger. But forgiveness is possible and it can be surprisingly 36 to your physical and 37 health.
"People who forgive 38 less depression, anger and stress and more hopefulness," says Frederic Luskin, Ph.D., 39 of Forgive for Good. "So it can help 40 on the .wear and tear on our organs, reduce the wearing out of the immune system and 41 people to feel more vital."
So how do you start the forgiveness? Try 42 these steps:
Calm yourself. To defuse (缓解) your 43 and try a simple stress-management technique.
"Take a couple of breaths and think of 44 that gives you pleasure: a 45 scene in nature, someone you love," Luskin says.
Don’t 46 an apology. "Many times the person who hurt you has no 47 of apologizing," Luskin says. "They may have wanted to hurt you or they just don’t see things the same 48 . So if you wait for people to apologize ,you could be waiting a(n) 49 long time. "Keep in mind that forgiveness does not necessarily mean 50 to the person who upsets you.
Take the control away from your offender. Mentally replaying your 51 gives power to the person who caused you pain. " 52 of focusing on your hurt feelings, learn to look for the love, beauty and kindness 53 you," Luskin says.
Try to see things from the other person’s perspective (立场;视角). If you empathize (有同感) with that person, you may 54 that he or she was acting out of ignorance, fear even love.
Recognize the benefits of forgiveness. Research has shown that people who forgive report more energy, better 55 and better sleep patterns. Don’t forget to forgive yourself. "For some people, forgiving themselves is the biggest challenge," Luskin says.
"But it can rob you of your self-confidence if you don’t do it. "

Coming home from school that dark winter day so long ago, I was filled with excitement of having the weekend off. But I was 41 into stillness by what I saw. Mother, seated at the far end of the sofa, was 42 with the second-hand green typewriter on the table. She told me that she couldn’t 43 fast and then she was out of work. My shock and embarrassment at finding Mother in tears was a perfect proof of how 44 I understood the pressure on her. Sitting beside her on the sofa, I began very slowly to understand. “I guess we all have to 45 something,” Mother said quietly. I could 46 her pain and the tension of 47 the strong feeling that were interrupted by my 48 . Suddenly, something inside me lit up. I reached out and put my arms around her. She broke then. She put her face 49 my shoulder and sobbed. I held her 50 and didn’t try to talk. I knew I was doing what I should, what I could and that was 51 . At that moment, feeling Mother’s 52 with feelings, I understood for the first time her being easy to 53 . She was still my mother, 54 she was something 55 : a person like me, capable of fear, 56 and failure. I could feel her pain as she must have felt mine on a thousand occasions when I sought 57 in her arms.
A week later Mother took a job selling dry goods at half the salary the radio station __58 .
“It’s a job I can do, though.” She said simply. But the evening practice on the green typewriter continued. I had a very 59 feeling now when I passed her door at night and heard her 60 away across the paper. I knew there was something more going on in there than a woman learning to type.

A boy was walking home from school when he saw a large, tempting (诱人的)apple on one of the branches of an apple tree hanging out over a tall fence. The boy wasn’t much of a fruit-eater, 1 a bar of chocolate if given the choice, but, as they say, the forbidden fruit can be tempting. Seeing the apple, the boy wanted it. The more he looked at it, the 2 he felt and the more he wanted that apple.
3 as high as he could, but even at his tallest 4 , he was unable to touch it. He began to 5 up and down , as high as he could, at the 6 of each jump stretching his arms to get the apple . Still it remained out of 7 . Not giving up , he thought , if only he had something to 8 on . His school bag wouldn’t give enough height and he didn’t want to 9 the things inside , like his lunch box , pencil case , and Game boy. Looking around, he hoped he might find an old box , a rock , or , with luck , even a ladder , but it was a tidy neighborhood and there was nothing he could use. He had tried everything he could think to do. Without seeing any other choices , he gave up and started to walk 10 . At first he felt angry and disappointed thinking about how hungry he had become from his 11 , and how he really wanted that apple .The more he 12 like this , the more unhappy he became.
However ,the boy of our story was a pretty smart guy, even if he couldn’t always get what he wanted .He started to say to himself . This isn’t 13 ,I don’t have the apple and I’m feeling miserable as well. There’s 14 more I can do to get the apple-that is unchangeable-but we are supposed to be able to 15 our feelings. If that’s the case, what can I do to feel better?

What kind of person becomes an addict? Someone 21 , with a lot of friends; or someone who is 22 from the rest, with only a few friends, or none at all? The 23 I am trying to make is that anyone can become an addict.
The only way that I 24 this out was by becoming an addict myself. I used to be a guy who was 25 in the popular crowd. Right before high school began, I started being 26 by most of my friends. I realized I could not live this way; I must stop the 37 of using drugs.
Since then, my 38 and actions have changed and so has my direction in life. I do see a future in water skiing. 39, I haven’t killed my chance in 40 . I know that I must keep a clear head first. Keep Coming Back. It works if you work it.

A young man, a student in one of our universities, was one day taking a walk with a professor, who was commonly called the students’ friend, for his kindness to those who waited on his instructions.

The student stood there deeply affected, his eyes filled with tears.“Now,” said the professor,

It was a cold winter's night when I stopped for gas on my way home from work.I was tired and had a slight 21 .

Maybe 26 I hurried, I could still make it home.
I was heading inside to 27 for my gas when I noticed an older couple at the counter, I heard them asking for 28 to the local hospital. It was the same hospital that I had just 29 a few minutes ago.

A look of 34 crossed the woman's face.
"I'm going right by there," I said, which wasn't a( an) 35 since I had just made up my mind to do 36 that.
I got in my car and began the journey back.I was trying to watch to be sure they were right 37 me.I took only fifteen minutes to get there as rush hour traffic was beginning to 38 .I felt better than I had all day and my headache was 39 gone.
Later, as I arrived home, my husband teased, "So you aren't ever late any more."
"Sometimes it's 40 to be late," I said, happy inside my heart.

Texting in the street—your funeral
Millions of people are putting their lives at risk by texting their friends as they walk along busy streets, reported the Daily Mail.
One in ten 41 users has already been 42 because they are so lost in their phones that they fail to 43 lamp-posts or cars, according to Joanna Lumdsen of Aston University.
To test the danger of texting while 44 , Lumdsen did an experiment in which volunteers followed a 45 path while trying to 46 in a message on the phone.
Around them, screens 47 up instructions to avoid stepping on 48 colors on the floor.
She found that people missed one in five 49 because they were so busy with their phones.
“In 50 life this means that one in five lamp-posts or moving cars is 51
to go unnoticed by people 52 and walking,” she said.
Her research is looking for ways cell phone makers could improve the 53
of phones to make texting on the move 54 . That could 55 easier-to-use voice operated phones, or phones that respond to gestures.
“The safest thing is 56 people not to text while they walk along,” she said. “ 57 a lot of people in business are 58 to carry a mobile phone and be in 59 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are under pressure to reply to calls 60 , and to respond to text messages and emails straight away.
