I can’t swim so I have a strong fear of water. Look back at my childhood, I think that three reasons might explain fear. Firstly, I am not allowed to go near the water when I was a child, as my mother had an unreasonable fear of it. Therefore, I was taught to see to the water as something danger. Secondly, my eyes became bad when I was five. If I took off my glass in the water, I couldn’t see something, and this increased my fear. What’s worse, for a child I once saw a neighbor drowned. I’d like tell you something about your life in this boarding school.I stay in a dormitory with three other girls, all of them are kind and nice. We get on well to others and have become good friends. Living in a boarding school make me independent. I am confidence to take care of myself, wash the clothes, and clean the rooms, which I never did when at home. The classes here are very interesting and challenged. I’m still feeling a little dissatisfied with some other thing. The living conditions are not as good as it at home and the chance to get in touch with the outside world is limited. Last Friday, Just before the 66^th National Day holiday, I conducted interview with James Watson, a famous American scientist, talk about how to become a successful scientist. On his opinion, to be a scientist, we needed to be very fond of science. What’s most, we have to keep practicing as well as learn from other successful scientist. If we want to be a successful one, besides hard-working, we are supposing to set up for a clear goal as well. How time flies! I can never forget how I became a good table tennis player. The first day I went to high school, I saw some of my classmates played table tennis. Amazed at how skillful they were, I was determined to play just as good. Later on, I often watch them carefully to learn their techniques.
Then I  kept practicing  hardly until I became too confident enough to challenge the good players. At the end of term, I became one of the best players in my class. I am really proud for this experience. It helps me realize that I can fulfill our potential but achieve our goals through hard work.

Nobody can succeed without making mistakes. I can well remember that last year an English speech contest held in our school. Because my English was the best in our class, so all my classmates encouraged me to take part in the contest. I was so shy a girl that I even dared not answer questions in class. I was afraid of making mistakes in front of so many judge. At last, my classmate Wang Ying, her English was not very good, take part in the contest and won the third prize. Nowadays Senior 3 students are general faced with a lot of pressure, which is rather common. To reduce it，the followed suggestions may help. First of all，know exactly what lead to your pressure，and then you can take measures to deal with it. Secondly, set up a goal what is not too high，in another words， don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Thirdly, find a way to relax you occasionally, for example，you can listen to music, go swim or just simply go walking. SQ3R stand for five steps in the reading process: Survey, Question, Read, Review and Recite. The first step is survey, which helps you to predict how the author is going to say.
