Most people believe they don’t have much imagination. They are ____. Everyone has imagination, but most of us, once we become adults, forget how to ____ it. Creativity isn’t always ____ with great works of art or ideas. People at work and in their free time ____ think of creative ways to solve problems. Maybe you have a goal to achieve, a tricky question to answer or you just want to expand your mind! Here are three techniques to help you.
Making connections This technique involves taking ____ ideas and trying to find links between them. First, think about the problem you have to solve or the job you need to do. Then find an image, word, idea or object, for example, a candle. Write down all the ideas/words ____ with candles: light, fire, matches, wax, night, silence, etc. Think of as many as you can. The next stage is to relate the ____ to the job you have to do. So imagine you want to buy a friend an original ____; you could buy him tickets to a match or take him out for the night.
No limits! Imagine that normal limitations don’t ____. You have as much time/space/money, etc. as you want. Think about your goal and the new ____. If your goal is to learn to ski, ____, you can now practice skiing every day of your life (because you have the time and the money). Now ____ this to reality. Maybe you can practice skiing every day in December, or every Monday in January.
Be someone else! Look at the situation from a ____ point of view. Good businessmen use this technique in trade, and so do writers. Fiction writers often imagine they are the ___ in their books. They ask questions: What does this character want? Why can’t she get it? What changes must she make to get what she wants? If your goal involves other people, put yourself in their ____. The best fishermen think like fish!

Adults are often surprised by how well they remember something they learned as children but have never practiced in the meantime.A man who has not had an opportunity to go swimming for years can swim as well as ever when he gets back in the water. He can get on a bicycle after several decades and still away.A mother who has not the words or years can teach her daughter the poem that begins " Twinkle, twinkle, little star" or the story of Cinderella or Snow White .
One explanation is the law of over learning, which can be stated as following: we have learned something, additional learning increases the of time we will remember it.In childhood, we usually continue to practice such skills as swimming, bicycle riding long after we have learned them.We continue to listen to and ourselves of poems such as "Twinkle.twinkle, little star" and childhood tales such as Cinderella or Snow White. We not only learn but
.
The law of over learning explains why cramming (突击学习) for an examination. it may result in a passing grade, is not a way to learn a school course.By cramming, a student may learn the subject well enough to get by on the examination, but he is soon to forget almost everything he learned.A little over learning, , is usually a good investment toward the future.

Our teacher asks us to keep a diary in English. I enjoy doing so because I keeping a diary in English is one of the effective ways to our English writing ability.
Compared with forms of writing, it is shorter and less time. It can help us to the habit of thinking in English. we persist in (坚持) this practice, gradually we’ll learn how to express ourselves in English. In keeping a diary in English, can use the important phrases and sentences we’ve in or out of English classes to describe our , and this way we can master and use freely we’ve learned, which will do good us in English learning. But we certainly run up against many difficulties. In the first place, it often happens that we have finding proper words and phrases to give expression to our mind. Secondly, there many idiomatic(惯用的) ways of saying things in Chinese. And it is extremely hard for us to put them English properly.
As far as I am concerned, my suggestion is that we always have a notebook and a Chinese-English dictionary within easy reach. Whenever beats (难倒)us, we can first put it down in our notebook and then look it up in our dictionary. We can also turn to our English teacher for , if necessary.
In short, I believe that it is of use to keep a diary in English for the development of our skills.

Surfing: It’s Not Just for Boys Anymore
If you asked high school girls to name their favorite sports, most would probably say basketball or volleyball. I happen to be one of the few girls who would : surfing (冲浪运动). But isn’t that a boy thing? Some people , but most are certain.
I started surfing about five years ago and in love with the sport on the very first day. Riding that first was the best feeling I had ever experienced.
When I try to surfing with other things, I find it very difficult because, in my , there’s nothing like it. It involves (牵涉到) body, and soul. There's sand between my toes and cool, salt water all us. The feeling I get when I'm surfing across that , becoming one with the , is like I'm weightless.
The one thing I can from surfing and not any other sport is endless challenge (挑战). You can never be the “best suffer” because the ocean uncountable waves that nobody can ever master. The variations (变化) of surfing styles are wonderful. Some suffers are free and flowing; are very aggressive (活跃有力的) and sharp. All of these things attract me to surfing and make it from any other sport.
I've to tell every girl I know to do something that people don't think girls can do. It's part of being human to advance to new , so shouldn’t it be expected that girls should step up and start pushing the limits of things boys and men to dominate (主宰)?
There’re women side by side with the President of our country, so why not side by side with the boys the football team or out in the water surfing? Give girls a chance to , and they will.

It also can be said that he must obey certain rules of society when living as a decent (体面的) adult. For example, on the highway, he is to keep a constant (不断的) , which can be compared with his activities through his life. Neither driving nor living must be taken at too a speed nor at too slow a speed. If he drives too the police will give him a , just as he will be arrested when he breaks the law. too conservatively (保守地), he will be called an out-of-date person the others driving at a(an) speed.
When he wants to change his lanes, he must give careful to every direction of his car. It is sometimes dangerous to change the way of life he can be sure of completion by doing so. He not make any unnecessary changing of lanes which gives him only danger. Finally, he must where he is now by recognizing some appearing now and then. If he takes the wrong way, he must return to the right as soon as he can. But he may thus lose and energy both on the road and in life. I always knew that I depended way too much on my phone. I didn’t know how much, so I decided to do this challenge to find out.
Every morning since I got a smartphone, I’ve used The Weather Channel App to find out what to . On the first morning I had to dress without guidance, but I was able to guess that the day would be cold and foggy by looking out of my window.
I couldn’t tell what time it was. I haven’t worn a for more than a year, because my phone showed the time. So I was late for friends who had been on the bus for two hours from Santa Monica to Palos Verdes. I was also late for my part-time job. And , I couldn’t call people to tell them that I was running late.
Getting places was harder, too. I got because I couldn’t use the GPS (汽车导航系统) on my phone. My driving, though, got a lot because I no longer had my phone in one hand checking directions while with the other.
But the number one trouble was not having my contact list (联络簿). I forgot to write down my friends’ and family members’ phone numbers before I the challenge. It was sad to realize that I couldn’t my brother’s and my mom’s cell phone numbers. Oh, how I wished to turn on the phone for just a second to look up phone numbers!
Even with all the problems, however, I found not worrying about missing a text message or an e-mail.
This was a great learning experience. It surprised me how I’d taken no notice of even the things like remembering phone numbers. We all should take some time to think about how we can depend on our cell phones.
