My earliest memory of dad is grabbing (抓住) his hand while we walked together. As I older, I remembered my father and I listened to many basketball games on the radio. I always fell asleep the game was over. When I woke up in the morning, the score sheet (计分表) with the score on it would be lying next to me. I’ll always remember that.
On cold mornings my father would drive his bread truck by the house. I used to ride on the floor of that bread truck as he delivered (分送) the bread to the stores. The and the warmth from the bread made me hungry and kept me warm. I’ll always remember that.
My father would attend all my games. One night before an important game my father told me that he wouldn’t be able to watch the game because he had to deliver the bread and it was a three-hour from his route. The next day as the game time drew near, I thought about my dad. I happened to look across the field and saw his bread truck pulling into the stadium (体育场). He tried to make the game. I’ll always remember that.
Years later I became a teacher. I’ll never forget the voice on the phone early one morning telling me dad had just been killed in a traffic accident. I could hear my heart beat in my ears. I up the phone and went back to my bedroom. After that nothing was very important to me. One day I was on the playground when a little boy walked up to me and grabbed my hand. His hand held mine the way I used to hold my father’s by the last two fingers. At that moment I found my in life again. You see even though my father was gone, he left something with me. He left me his smile, spirit and touch. My purpose was to use those gifts as he did. From that day I started. I’ll always remember that!

Have you ever complained (抱怨) why life is so tiring? Does the sky sometimes dark to you? Are your lessons sometimes not successful? Well, friends, cheer up and all the time. If you see the world with your warm heart, you will find the whole world smiling to you..
Not long ago, a friend of mine decided to read a lot of books to get knowledge. So he went to the library and happily with several books. But after a few days, he felt bored. The idea of finishing all of the books seemed , because it was for him to sit quietly to read a whole book. He didn’t know what to do. Then one day, he suddenly thought of “Why not make reading fun?” It gave him again. Reading is a journey of spirit(心灵之旅). Every time when we a book, we are actually talking the writer. Since then, he tried to spend more time reading books, so he could feel all of the writer’s happiness and sadness. And reading is boring, but kind of interesting.
Attitude can make a great . Someone once said, “ the situation is bad, people are free to choose their attitude.” So, don’t complain about the situation. It helps . For example, one day the weather is fine. You and your friends want to go for a picnic. Just before you go, it suddenly starts to rain. Maybe you would feel very and start to complain about the weather. But dear friends, why don’t you sit down and listen to the free concert that the nature brings you? And with the timely rain, crops(庄稼) in the fields will grow better and farmers will have a good harvest (收成).
Attitude decides everything. With an optimistic (乐观的) attitude, life is easy and happy. Let’s smile to we meet and the whole world will smile to us.

I went back to China as soon as school was over at the end of June. And I returned to Canada on August 17th.
It’s to go back to China this summer, because of the A(H1N1)flu. Everybody seemed to be . The easiest thing for us to do was to wear masks(口罩)on the plane, as my mom suggested. However, it was not to wear a mask for ten hours. I decided to put the masks into my bag wearing them.
Everything seemed OK the flight. I saw only five people wear masks all the time. When we arrived in Beijing, some came into the plane and took our temperature. Fortunately, had a fever. Therefore, I was able to get home on time.
However, everything went wrong after I got home. I became sick, with a sore throat and a fever because I had not my mom’s words. Luckily, I just had a common . while I was sick in bed, I thought that if I had listened to my mom at first, I would have never caught the cold.
It’s always wise to listen to your mom’s suggestions.

One day, a boy found the cocoon(茧) of a butterfly and brought it home. A few days later, the boy saw a small in the cocoon. He sat and watched for several hours as a butterfly struggled to make body through that little hole. Suddenly it stopped. So the boy to help the butterfly, thinking the butterfly might be .He took a pair of scissors and cut the hole .The butterfly came out of the cocoon but it a little different. If the butterfly never has to squeeze(挤压) itself out of the cocoon, its wings will never get the fluid and it can never fly.
struggles are what we need in our lives. If we lived our lives without any problems, we would never learn or grow. We would not be we could have been and we would never fly.
In our lives, pain and suffering is the key to all windows, and sometimes even growth, without it , there's no way of life. We can't avoid or problems. So, next time you are a problem or difficulty, remember the butterfly. Struggle a little—then fly!

Dad never tried to hug or kiss me when I was a child. And of course, he never said "I love you"to me, . Maybe it's a Chinese cultural(文化) thing, or maybe that's the way my dad was. But whenever I felt , defeated(被打败) or lonely, dad was always there. Dad was a man of words, but I always liked to talk to him, and I could always feel a very special connection(联系) to him.
When I was in high school, dad retired(退休) and had a stand(摊位) on the street near my school. Dad was very good at making fried noodles, and a lot of people liked his noodles. Every day when I finished school, my classmates and I would pass his food stand. But I really talking to dad in front of his food stand, I did not want my classmates to know that my dad was selling noodles on the street!
One night, I couldn't it any more and shouted, "Dad, could you stop selling your stupid noodles? I don't need a father who sells noodles on the street!" At that moment, dad was shocked. He tried to say but didn't. When he his head away, something happened that I had never seen and would never forget the rest of my life. His eyes were filled with tears and sadness. It was the first time that I saw dad . My mom later told me that dad was selling noodles to save money for my college education. I was such a fool, and even today I still feel for that night.
Time really flies. I finished college and then left my home city. For the past ten years, whenever I've visited home, dad was always there meeting me and seeing me off at the railway station. Whenever mom was calling me, dad would sit her with a list of questions. He would ask mom to talk to me for him. That's the way dad is, and that's dad shows his love to me.
Dad is still quiet, but I still feel a connection. —"a silent father's love."

Many kids think whatthey are like. They think they aren't the prettiest or the smartest. At the same time, they think they aren't even the ugliest or the silliest, which would at least make them out. Everyone feels that way sometimes, in middle school. Kids realize how special they are.
It is growing up. Growing up means understanding what you can offer the world. When you're young, you realize that just by being yourself, you do offer to other people. Maybe you aren't the best, but that doesn't make you "not amazing".
Do yourself a favor. Think about your friends carefully. Write down a list of things that you like about them. Think about you make friends with them. You will know that in the end, no matter if they aren't the smartest or the prettiest or talented, they are great in their own way. And they feel just the same you!
Remember, it gets easier as you grow older. If you try your best, you are still pretty .
