Mike called his wife to tell him that he had got two film tickets. He asked her to go and meet him outside the theatre. Mike’s wife is very glad because they hadn’t seen a film for quite long time. I live in a very old town which is surrounding by beautiful woods. It is a famous beauty spot. In Sundays, hundreds of people come from the city to see our town and to walk through the woods. Visitors have asked to keep the woods clean and tidy. Litter baskets have been placed under the trees, and people still throw their rubbish everywhere. Last Wednesday, I go for a walk in the woods. That I saw made me very sad. I counted seven old cars and three old refrigerators. The  litter basket were empty and the ground was covered with pieces of paper, cigarette ends, old tyres, empty bottles or rusty tins. Among the rubbish, I found a sign which was said, “Anyone who leave litter in these woods will be punished!”

June 12, Sunday
Today is Sunday. I didn’t get up early as usually. In the morning after I finished my homework, I do some washing. Then I telephoned one of my classmate and invited him to see a film.
And unfortunately, when we got to the cinema at 3:00 pm we found all the tickets had sold out．Then we went to our school and played the football．Later, we were about to go home when we saw our English teacher, Mr. Wang, came through the school gate．He told us we had made many progress in English this term．He also suggested that we read more and wrote more．We promised to him that we would follow his advice．

Last weekend I went to the Summer Palace as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happening. I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many peoples were standing by without doing anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd as I took off my coat, but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid was saved.  
I was proud what I had done. I wish everyone can give a hand when someone else is in need.

My friend Tony and I always walk home together after school. Last Friday on our way to home, we heard a loud shout behind us. When we looked around to see what had happened, we found a woman lied on the ground, bleeding. We soon realized that she had knocked down by the car in front of him. We hurried to help her, and a man came over and tried to prevent us from getting closer to the wounded woman. We got very angrily with the man. How could he stopped us from helping a dying woman? The man asked us to turn around and we were surprised to see a man who were carrying a video camera on his shoulders. In fact, they were just shooting a film!
