Nowadays many people cross streets without watch traffic lights. So traffic accidents often happen for those who didn’t follow traffic rules. Why don’t people follow traffic rules? They haven’t realized an importance of traffic safety. Besides, some people are such busy that they don’t want wait for the green light. How do we solve the problem? First of all, we should develop into the habit of following traffic rules. Secondly, who breaks traffic rules should be punished. Lastly, we should teach kids how to cross streets safe. During the weekend, I travelled on a plane the first time in my life. I generally travel by train and bus, which is both very cheaper and safer. But that was a long journey, about hundreds of kilometers far away from our city. In the beginning, I didn’t feel very happy, and this feeling didn’t last long. The ride on the plane then is of great excitement. I was soon highly up in the air among the cloud. The views of mountains, fields and rivers were very amazed. I enjoyed my comfortable journey a lot. This experience has shown that travelling in air is actually the safest way of make journeys.

I love camping. It is my favoritest way to spend the summer vacation. Last year, my family and I went camping in the countryside. It was one of the most excited experiences I had never had. I am grateful to my English teacher Susan, at whose help I couldn’t have won the first prize in English Talent Competition for high school student last week.
I used to be poor in speaking English. I was too shy to speak in class. Since she teaches us last term, she has been encouraging him to overcome fear and speak out in class. Thanks to her, I have made great progresses. Besides, I practiced several times in the front of her. It was her advice which made me a better speaker and full of confidence. And I owe my success to her.

SQ3R stand for five steps in the reading process: Survey, Question, Read, Review and Recite. The first step is survey, which helps you to predict how the author is going to say. The second step is question, which means to form questions basing on your survey. The third step is read and note something down. You’d better take note or underline something importantly while reading. The fourth step is review, which means to go over the text check your understanding and try to answer for all the questions you’ve written down while reading. The fifth step is recite, which means to make the summary of the reading in your own words. You can be sure you have understood the text although you can recite them without referring to the notes.
