But I learned to smile and the fact that I was going to be my whole life. I decided to make my uniqueness an advantage rather than a disadvantage. What I lacked in height, I in personality.
I’m 47 now, and the stares have not as I've grown older. People are when they see me driving. I try to keep a good attitude. When people are , I remind myself: “Look what else I have—a great family, nice friends.”
It’s the children's questions that make my life . I enjoy answering their questions. My is that people will accept various peers(同龄人), whatever size and shape they come in, and treat them with .

Once there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it every day. He loved the tree and the tree loved to with him.

I play around the tree any more.”the boy . “I want toys. I need to buy them.” “Sorry, I don’t have money. But you can all my apples and sell them. This is a story of everyone. The tree is like our parents. When we were ,we loved to play with Mom and Dad… When we grow up,we them, and come to them when we need something or when we are . Every time I came into her room, she was so because she thought I was her daughter. Her real daughter never visited her,so I took her place. Teddy is a black dog. To my eyes, she’s a dog of exceptional beauty, and we’ve been together for nearly fifteen years. Teddy and I joy and sorrow with each other. I have never that Teddy would give her life for me without the slightest . I have always our relationship by saying, “We are completely bonded.” I have no idea true this statement was until I was diagnosed with cancer.
Through the stages of my from three operations, Teddy stayed near me, watching my every move. She was clearly anxious and upset when I felt or distressed. I had been able to many of the difficulties so far---the loss of body parts, the side of medication---but the thought of losing my long hair during chemo (化疗) made me . Over a three-week period, handful of hair separated from my itchy scalp (发痒的头皮). Each brought me greater distress. One evening,I sat in a rocking chair, touching my hair and crying sadly. Teddy lay on the floor beside me; suddenly she began to pull at the fur(毛皮) on her tail. I could stop her, she had ripped (扯) out a few clumps(团).
Teddy’s stopped my tears and self-pity. The next morning, I found Teddy sleeping in a mass of long black hair, no doubt with considerable pain. Her beautiful black now looked like a funny little rat’s tail. Then Teddy looked up at me with her devoted little face. It was she was willing me to feel better. I could almost hear her saying, “If you have to lose your hair, I’m going to lose mine, too.”
Teddy and I both appeared a bit that summer. In the fall, when her winter coat came in, Teddy’s tail quickly began to look better. My hair a bit longer to return, but I never about it again. Sharing my loss with Teddy took the sadness away.

As I held my father’s hands one night, I couldn’t help but notice their calluses(老茧)and roughness. His hands tell the story of his life as a ,including all his struggles.
One summer, I remember, a drought(旱灾)hit Ontario, turning it into a desert. On one of those hot mornings I was picking sweet corn with my dad to fill the last from the grocery store. Fifty dozen was all we needed, which took twenty minutes. That morning, however, the process didn’t quickly. After forty minutes of aimlessly walking in the field, we needed twenty dozen. I was completely frustrated and .Dropping the basket heavily, I declared, “If the store wants its last twenty dozen, they can pick it themselves1”Dad .“Just think, my little girl, only ten dozen left for each of us and then we’re .” Such is Dad----whatever problem he ,he never gives up.
, the disastrous effects of the drought were felt all over our county. It was a challenging time for everyone, Dad remained optimistic. He to be grateful for other things like good health and food on our plate. Only then did I truly begin to Dad and his faith that guided us through the hard times.
Dad is also a living example of real .From dawn to dusk, he works countless hours to our family. He always puts our happiness his own, and never fails to cheer me on at my sports games his exhaustion(疲劳) after long days. His loving and selfless nature has inspired me to become more sympathetic and putting others first.
Dad,the life I have learned from you will stay with me forever. You are my father, teacher, friend and, most importantly, my hero.
