I know I should have told the headmaster at the time. That was my real .
He had gone out of the study for some , leaving me alone. In his absence. I looked to see was on his desk. In the was a small piece of paper on which were written the “English Writing Prize 1949.History Is a Series of Biographies (人物传记)”.
A(n) boy would have avoided(避免) looking at the title as soon as he saw the . I did not. The subject of the English Writing Prize was kept a until the start of the exam so I could not reading it.
When the headmaster , I was looking out of the window.
I should have told him what had then. It would have been so to say: “I’m sorry, but I the title for the English Writing Prize on your desk. You’ll have to it.”
The chance passed and I did not it. I sat the exam the next day and I won. I didn’t to cheat, but it was still cheating anyway.
That was thirty-eight years when I was fifteen. I have never told anyone about it before, have I tried to explain to myself why not.
The obvious explanation is that I could not admit(承认) I had seen the title admitting that I had been looking at the things on his desk. there must have been more behind it. Whatever it was, it has become a good example of how a little mistake can trap (使陷入) you in a more serious moral corner (道德困境).

Last spring, Michelle fell in love with kite-boarding, an adventure sport that combines surfing and sailing. So she got a kite-board, took some and a few months later drove out to the Banana River. There she met John, who offered to help her her skills.
One day, John Michelle while his wife, Nancy, stayed behind on a Jet Ski (摩托艇). In that way, there would be to bring back Michelle if she got into trouble. After John gave her a few , he took off. He’d sailed about three quarters of a mile down the river when he felt the wind . He knew that the stronger the wind grew, the more it would be for Michelle to control her board. , he turned and started sailing back toward the two women.
Michelle had decided to head for shore. The wind was too strong for her to handle the kite. She prepared to land her by releasing one of the four lines that kept the sail in the air. she didn’t have a chance. She was thrown over the water, still to the kite. Seconds later, a huge wind sent the kite upward. Even more dangerous, the sail’s lines started to twist together, round and round. Michelle to free from the kite. But she failed.
Nancy was several hundred feet away on the Jet Ski and couldn’t get to her enough to help. By then, John had closed in and Michelle felt John her out of the water. As she held his arm, he tried to pull the handle but couldn’t it. Then suddenly, John let go. At that point, Michelle was sure she would die without him holding her. But John had seen Nancy approaching and that he’d have a better chance of helping Michelle. He jumped onto the Jet Ski. As the kite dived down, with all his , he jumped from the Jet Ski onto the kite and dragged it to the water. Finally Michelle was saved.
This experience hasn’t kept Michelle from loving kite-boarding. “Life is fragile (脆弱的), but it’s meant to be ,” she says.

When you are five years old, your mother is your everything. She is your , friend, and nurse; the only person you rely on with your hopes, dreams, and wishes. But for me, this was not the case.
My mother suffered from problems that would keep her in bed for days, leaving me to care for her and look after myself. This situation me to grow up much faster. While I knew my mother was sick, I felt deep down that we could it and everything would be okay. , in 1997 everything went terribly wrong, and my life changed forever.
Adoption is a word to a five-year-old, but when I realized that my own mother had signed me over to , I felt it was the worst betrayal(背叛). I suffered from shock, anger, and confusion as I attempted to adjust to my new family. No longer could I anyone since the person I had loved more than all else had abandoned me. Hearing people tell me that she did it in my best interest, I felt even more . I could not forgive her and always how she could reject me like an old sofa.
However, the more I got older, the more I began to understand how our situation had been.We had been on boxes of noodles, and at one point we lived in our car. I was once passed from drug-addicted cousins to mentally unstable neighbors as my mother to try and save me from what our lives were becoming each day passed.
Only recently have I begun to understand my mother gave me to strangers. she really did save me. She loved me more than anything, so she wanted me to have a in life, one she could no longer offer me. I now know my life has been a special only because she was selfless enough to give me up.

Dear dad,
Happy birthday to you! On this special day, I’d like to talk to you in a special way.
I don’t think I’m good at telling you my thought face to face with you, so I’m to show my deep love for you. You’re not a rich man or a famous person. But in my heart, you are one of the greatest in the world. I’m you. You’re interested in being famous and rich. You do things like paying for your phone on time, and working as a worker in your factory. The smile on your face shows you’re pleased with the family. You take good care of my grandparents. You help me with my schoolwork and do some shopping with mom on Sundays.
In the past, I didn’t care you were with me or not. Now I am sorry to say I didn’t you before. But I am thankful for what you have done for me.
I am quite lucky that I have a great father. And I feel happy that now I can let you know how much I love you. You are successful as a son, a husband, a father and a friend.
Love from,
Lydia

It took place at the Biltmore Hotel, which, to my eight-year-old mind, was just about the fancies place to eat.My , my mother, and I were having lunch after a morning spent shopping.I ordered a Salisbury steak. When brought to the table, it was by a plate of peas.I do not like peas now.I did not like peas then.I have always hated peas. And I was not about to eat them now."Eat your peas," my grandmother said.
"Mother," said my mother in her voice."He doesn't like peas.Leave him alone."
My grandmother did not reply. She in my direction, looked at me in the eye, and said the words that changed my life: "I'll pay you five dollars if you eat those peas."
I had absolutely no idea of the coming . I only knew that five dollars was an enormous, nearly amount of money, and as awful as peas were, only one plate of them stood between me and the of that five dollars.I began to force the terrible things down my .
My mother was very angry. My grandmother had that look of someone who has thrown down an unbeatable trump card(王牌)."I can do what I want, Ellen, and you can't stop me." My mother glared at her mother. She glared at me.

I recently visited London and traveled on the tube while I was there. Apart from the people , almost everybody else was on their phones, and because of the nature of the tube, it is difficult not to see what they are all doing. Of course, being it is difficult to get any signal, which rules out texting or using the Internet, there is still plenty you can use your phones for. People were playing , reading articles and listening to music, and I’m sure that as soon as they from the train station they would start texting, calling or checking their emails. There is a constant to everyone in the world, you have a mobile phone in your hand.
Recently, my smart-phone broke and had to be to the warehouse for for a week or so. In the meantime I had to use a really , basic phone just to keep in touch with my family and friends. All I could do on this phone was send , make calls and play one game. And I loved it. I loved being free from the Internet, and I really didn’t mind not having constant about what my friends were doing or what the latest celebrity story was. It was quite and it allowed me to spend more time my surroundings—I could my time in London more, for example, and I could watch the people around me and really see what was going on.
, I knew that as soon as I got my smart-phone back I would be one of those people once again, to finding out what everyone is doing and my time playing games or checking social network sites. Perhaps I should just go back to using the basic phone and I ever got my smart-phone back...

I am a mom of two young children whom we home-school. This that they are with me almost constantly. Whenever possible I will random acts of kindness; things like paying for the order behind me in the drive-thru lane, holding doors, etc. So, they are very with the concept and are, of course, to also do "nice" things for others.
Just a few days ago we stopped our local grocery store to pick up a few things which quickly turned into an entire cart load of stuff. We got into one of the two open checkout lanes and waited our . While waiting a young man came up behind us with only a few in his basket. I told him to go ahead of us as we were in no .
He seemed very pleasantly surprised and graciously . As he began putting his items on the belt the clerk began to her till tape so we had a fairly long wait in line. My kids were very behaved but they were still children; they asked questions, they talked , they moved around and they were generally very entertaining. (To me, anyway.)
I could see the young man watching and listening with a smile on his face.
We were putting our groceries on the when the clerk finished with order. What I didn't know was that he had heard my kids bubble gum. I had agreed they could have some. , he picked up a pack of bubble-gum and asked the clerk to ring it through twice before putting it back. He then told my kids that he bought their gum their mom was enough to let him go ahead in the queue.
The experience really drove home the that good begets(产生,引起) good for my lovely little kiddos(亲呢的称呼:小伙子).

All of us go through some difficult times as we approach teenage years. It’s the age when we have to deal with the most in our life. This transition (过渡) from childhood to adulthood is for some, but rough for others. The most important thing about being a teenager is . When we are teenagers, we would get blamed or even punished for anything wrong we do. Unlike before when we were small kids, even if we made a big trouble, we didn’t need to pay anything for it.
It’s all not so about being a teenager though. We don’t have to have our take us to somewhere we want to go or we couldn’t go before. We can have with friends or even alone, which we couldn’t have because we were too to know what pleasure is! It’s a very enjoyable time of life. During this age, we are old enough to what is good for us, and make decisions by ourselves without others.
But like the saying goes “All good things must come to an end, but all bad things can continue .” During this period, we are having much for our studies. If we don’t pass, we won’t get jobs, and things will take a turn for the . With the present world economy in , we have to do really, really well in our for a job. Adults say that their is the hardest part of life. But I think the transition from a kid to an adult is much than being already an adult. What we do in our teenage years will what we become and how we lead our life in the future.
In conclusion, it is quite that parents put much pressure on an already stressed out teenager. If they realized that, living condition for teenagers would be much better. for the teens ourselves we should get to know what is best for us. What’s more, we should understand the right of life we choose at this age can make us happy for the rest of our existence.
