The purpose of establishing APEC are to achieve the sustainable economic growth in the Asia-Pacific circle and build a harmony community among the Asia-Pacific countries. By advocating free trade and exploring new markets for raw materials and farm products, APEC promotes the economic integration of the Asia-Pacific rim but broadens the foreign investment areas.
