I was real sad when I found my bicycle went wrong again. Tired of repairing it again and again, I decided buy a new one. After school, I went to a shop lying in the center of the city with a friend who called Jack. The black bicycle attracted my eyes as soon as we went into the store. It looked so cool that I could hardly wait to ride it. The shopkeepers told us that it was the latest bicycle. He wanted to charge me 800 yuan, that was too high for me. I just couldn’t afford so an expensive one. Then I choose another one, which cost him only 200 yuan. It was not perfect, and it was much better than the old one.

Tom is a senior two students who devotes himself to his lessons every day. Last Saturday, as usual, he went to several courses. In the evening, he studies at home until deep into the night. He was too sleepy and tired that he couldn’t work effectively. In Sunday morning, Tom was about to study when his father came up and advised him to have break. Soon they had a good idea. They bought a kite which they liked it very much and then the family went to the suburbs where Tom enjoyed fly the kite himself. An old man whose eyesight was failing comes to stay in a hotel, a bottle of whisky in his hand. On the wall was a fly he took for a nail. The moment he tried to hang the bottle on it, they fell and broke. When the landlady discovered what had been happened, she decided to do him favor. The next morning when he was out, the hotel worker hammered a nail exact where the “fly” had been. Before the old man came back, the smell of the whisky reminded him the accident. Looking at the spot what he thought the “fly” was again, he was so angry that he slapped it with all his strengths. On hearing the loud cry, the landlady rushed in. To her surprise, the poor old man was sitting on the floor with his teeth clenched (咬紧) and the palm of his hand bleed.

Once, a man got on a bus to New York. Because he did not want to pay, so he hid in the toilet. But a passenger saw her. She tapped the person in front of her on the shoulder and say, “There’s a bum (流浪汉) in the toilet. Tell the bus driver.” The message was passing on from person to person.
