At Chinese New Year, my family and I have a very busy time. Two days before New Year’s Day, I went out with my friends from school to the seafood restaurant in Pudong. It was the noisiest restaurant which I had ever been to, and the food was cheap and delicious. After that, we went to shopping for new clothes and found lots of bargain. I visited my old teacher, Mr. Smith. For my surprise, he said he didn’t find Chinese New Year very excited. He was even wearing new clothes! Because we have so many tests this week, I have to start studying hard again now. How I wish the holiday were long than ever before!

Although all time is precious, but the time of our youth is more precious than any period of our existence because this is the period which we can acquire knowledge and develop our abilities. If we allow these morning hours to slip away, we shall never able to make up for the loss.

There are several ways improve our English writing skills, such as keeping a diary, learning any good writings by heart, doing a lot of reading, etc. As for me, I prefer keeping a diary. Comparing with other forms of writing, keeping a diary is easy and take less time. In addition, they can help us form the habit of thinking in English. If we can keep this practice, and we will gradually learn how to express us in English. What’s more, keeping a diary can be as talking with one of our close friend, sharing our happiness or sadness.
