Elizabeth lived on the other side of a valley. One winter there was a very big flood, and a lot of houses down below Elizabeth’s were washed away. My partner and I were staying in Beruwela on the Southwest coast of Sri Lanka when the tsunami(海啸) hit. We 1 from the first floor of our hotel.
