Dear editor,
Some years ago, my hometown was used to be a beautiful place. Thick trees and grass can be seen all over the hills. As time going by, people destroyed almost the whole forest grow more crops. To make matters worse, people let their cattles eat up the grass. So you can only see wasteland instead green forests now. As a result of, when it rains, the soil is washed down the hills and into the rivers. Strongly winds also blow away the valuable soil lie on the top of the fields.
I do hope all the people will take good care of the forests but plant more trees to improve our living conditions.

Great changes have been taken place in the way people communicate with each other. In the past people write letters to share informations and later they talked with each other in the telephone 。Now more and more people use our own mobile phones to communicating. And instead writing on the paper, they e-mail to each other on the computer. As a result, people find that quicker and easier to communicate, and at the same time some people feel that they become poorer in writing. They worry about whether people can be as closely as before.

Last summer vacation, I worked as a volunteer in a hospital, where I meet a little girl, Rosalyn, who was near eight years old. She just had operation in her leg but had to stay in bed for some time. I was amazing by her courage because she never cried even if she was suffered a great deal of pain. I once noticed her helping a little boy which parents couldn’t come to see him that day. She was sharing her sweets and toys for the boy and telling stories to calm him down. Soon she stopped crying. I wondered that if many grown-ups could be as kind as she was to others!

Through some efforts, the rescuers cleaned up the ruin carefully which was covered
the mother. Under her body lying her baby. The baby was in small red quilt with
yellow flowers. He was about 3or 4 months old. Since the baby is well protected by his
mother’s body, he was total safe. He was sleeping well when the rescuer carried her
out, and his lovely and peaceful face warmed anyone around him. The rescuer found
there was a mobile phone in the quilt. When he looked at the screen, the massage was
already there.”My dear baby, if you can live, don’t forget how many I love you.” Eve-
ryone who saw this massage burst into tears.

Dear John,
Last summer I take a part-time job in the International Camp for children. I have been told one more workers will be needed this year and I think you are fit it. How about join us? The camp is at the foot of a small hill close to a river. It is so a beautiful place! We can hear birds singing happy all around. Everybody sleeps in tents, that is very exciting. We usually work only five hours a day, so we will have plenty of spare time visit the area and have a fun. I am sure it will be an unforgettable experience.
