Mark Twain, like you know, was famous in his days as the public speaker. He always liked to
play joke on his friends. One day, the one of his friends lost their wallet and asked him to buy a
train ticket for him. “But I don’t have enough money to pay both your ticket and mine,” Mark
Twain said. The friend didn’t know what to do. “Let’s do this, “ Mark Twain saying, “You can
get off the train and when the conductor comes to check the ticket you can hide under my seat.”
Later, however, when the conductor comes to check the ticket, Mark Twain gave him two
tickets-----one for him and the other for his friend.

I am writing to talk about the canteen of our school. There are only a few stand in the canteen, leading to lots of students have to line up for food. It is waste of time, isn’t it? But at times the food is not fresh and does not taste deliciously. So it’s not surprising that some students chose to go to the street to buy junk food which do harm to their health. Would you think about that how to improve it? I would appreciate you if you could take some measures. Hopefully, my opinion can be taken to account.

Today my classmate and I went to a farm for a trip. I get up at six o’ clock and we set off by bus. On the bus, some of us sang, and some of us talked. We all had good time. Two hours late, we arrived at the gate of the farm, that the farmers were waiting to give us a warm welcome. After we were shown around the big farm, they began to plant trees. It was really a good way to getting close to nature and protect the environment at the same time. Next , we had a picnic and it was great fun to eat on the open air. Finally, we went home at half past four. Although all of us was tired, our trip was really very more unforgettable.

It is fine day and I will never forget this special day. I was chosen to be a member of the football team and send to take part in the school football match. I was excited, but believed I would score the most. But in the first round I hurt my leg and couldn't help but to give up. I felt very sad. My best friend Tom comes up to me and said, “You are great! You still played for a few minute even after you leg hurt. You are a true winner.” I couldn't believe my ears. For me the one scoring the most is the winner.
