When I was a boy, I didn’t have any hair on my head. So I was very shy. I liked to watch my friends play in the park. Sometimes I would join them, but most of the time I just watched them play.
Every day, we would see an old man walking in the park. He had big ears and no hair. We thought he was dumb (哑的). Every time when my friends saw him, they would say loudly, "Hey, Mr. Dumb, what’s the time?” But they got no answer.
One early evening, I was standing outside my house, and I saw the old man coming. I was not with any of my friends and there were no other kids around to say the usual words of "greeting( 问候)”.
But how could I let the old man walk by without saying anything? So for the first time, I asked, “Hey, Mr. Dumb, what’s the time?"
The old man looked at me. Then he looked at his watch and answered, "It’s six thirty. " I ran into my house and never said that "greeting" to the old man after that day.
The boy often played with his friends together.
The boy’s friends were very polite to the old man.
Neither the boy nor the old man had any hair on the head.
Actually, the old man could hear and speak.

Besides, all kinds of harmful things and a lot of energy are used to keep its courses(球场),This leads to serious environmental problems. For example, in Portugal and Spain, golf is considered to be the most important reason for water shortage(短缺)io some areas.
③ There are many environment-friendly sports. Power walking is one of them that you could do today. You don’t need anything special but a good pair of shoes; and you don’t have to worry about nature and your money. Simple and free, power walking -can also keep you fit. When the traffic lights turn red, we will stop driving a car or crossing a street. Why is red used for traffic lights instead of other colors?
As we know, scattering(散射) happens when light goes through the air. For the same media(媒质), if the wavelength islong, the scattering will be short. If the wavelength is short, then the scattering will be long.
Of all lights we can see red has the longest wavelength, so the scattering is the weakest. That means the red light travels far. In fact, it travels farther on rainy days.
Using the red light can help drivers in farther areas sec the lights. It helps drivers stow down or stop in lime. If drivers don't see the red light until they are close, they may not be able to stop the car in time. An accident may happen Red can also excite people.
