Yesterday, I saw the old lady fall down when I was hurrying to school. I was about to help her up while suddenly a passer-by stop me, saying that I might be accused of knocking her down. Heard his words, I began to hesitate and slow down my steps. At the same time, another student, that saw everything, went up to help. The old lady said nothing but lots of thank to the good boy. I felt ashamed. As is known to all, help others is forever a good virtue. Even though some old people are becoming immorally, we can’t let it to disappear. I have made my mind that I will reach out my hand without hesitation next time.

Last week I went to visit to my former neighbor, Mr. Yang. He and I used to living next to each other for many years. About half a year ago, an order came which the old building , along with many other similar ones, were going to be pulled down to make room for a main street.
So I had to move apart. Mr. Yang now lives in the suburb near a beautiful park. His new apartment is much big than before. The only problem is that it took quite a long time to get to the downtown area. Therefore, Mr. Yang doesn’t seem to worry about the long distance. He says that new subway line is to be built in a few year and he is sure life will be better in the future.

Last week our class voted on what to do our class outing: visiting the West Lake or going to the Zoo. I’d like to tell you what our school had worked out a new program. The purposes of the program is to make our school more beautiful, and to turn our school into the better place for us to study and live in. Dear Peter,
I am writing to ask that you are able to do me a favor. I want to have a pen friend, hopefully, a girl in her early twenties, and with interests similarly to mine. In my mind, he is someone interesting in traveling, swimming, and playing table tennis. However, it would be better for her to have a pet dog as I have been kept one at home for some time. With such a pen friend, I hope I can share with her our experiences in traveling, taking care pets, or whatever we have in common. Everyone has a dream. We are on the way to achieve it whether the way is smooth or tough. As Senior 3 student, I have the same dream as my classmates that I can be admitted to an ideal university. In the past three year, I have done everything I can to equip myself with that I have learnt from my teachers. Not only had I enjoyed the pleasure of study but also I have got closer to my dream. Anxiety and pressure did discourage from me at times and with the encouragement of my teachers and classmates, I think I’ll make it.
I’m sure that there has still a long way to go to achieve my dream. No matter what challenging it is, I’ll make it come true. As the proverb said,“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

I was taking a train to London's Victoria Station. I had noticed that the carriage was noise and filled with people.
Before long, a train inspector comes to check our tickets. A passenger realized he couldn't find his ticket but became quite upset. Then everyone in the carriage began searching the ticket，which was eventually found under a seat several rows from his owner. The person who found a ticket smiled with pleasure at his success.
No one in the carriage had previous spoken to or even noticed the ticket-owner before. Yet they had so quickly offered the strangers their help. If we could show our concern to others on need，the world would be a better place to live in.

This is the first time that I had been away from home, so I find it hard to live here. How I wish I can turn to Lucy, who once gave me much help! I had trouble with my study in Grade 9. So frustrating was I that I began to play computer games after school, when I should have paid more attention to catching up with others. Beside, I was even caught cheating in the exam, it worried my parents a lot. When asking about the reason why I fell far behind, I was too guilty to say a word. It was then Lucy came to my help, telling me not to give up. To my amazement, I made a great progress. Finally, I even became one of the top student in my class. I must say thanks to Lucy, without whose help, I could never have had so good grades.

In the past, my hometown was very small. People there lived poor life and the houses.were very old and shabby, even some of which were shaking in the wind. As for the traffic，it was very inconvenient that almost no tourists came.

Dear Jim,
Thank you for your last letter telling me your recently news. I'd like to tell you something about our school sports meeting. It was holding on October,20th, which was a fine day.
There were over 1,600 students and teachers attend it. Wang Lin, a student from my class won the 100-meter race. He finishes the race in 11.2 seconds and broke down the school record. They were all very excited. The sports meeting was great success. That was why we were all making every effort to our class honor. Although I was not one of the winner, I was proud of what we had done.
