To build a boat like this, you needed a very tall, straight tree. You first cut down the tree and remove the branch.
Then you cut the tree in half so you have two long pieces of woods. You use one piece to make the boat. Remove the inside for a person to sit. Take the bark off the outside of the boat and puts oil on it so it will easily go through the sea. Some Polynesian boats have sails.
