Annie, a neighbor’s daughter, was away for her first semester at college this school year. She is a very sweet girl but just a bit shy. When her birthday came around, I found out she was feeling a bit .
Her family is quite poor and are tight, so there wouldn’t be any birthday visitors. I wanted to her a card and maybe a small gift to her day a bit. I got her school from her mom and planned to pick something up. Then I got a(n) !
I perhaps a bit more birthday cheer was needed here. I bought some balloons, birthday hats, and novelties at a store. I took a small and asked three other people in my area at work to “Happy Birthday” and send some birthday wishes to her. It was such fun making the recording! Other people what we were doing and their voices, so it really sounded like we had a party going on!
Then I bought her a small present and a card as planned. The real fun was packing them to be sent. I everything so it was like opening a mini birthday party! At the last minute I added a pack of cupcakes and a box of birthday candles sending them off. I got a call a few days later.Annie said her roommates and one of their neighbors in the got together with her and held a party for her the moment they arrived. She sounded so and I was so glad that she had some friends to her special day with.
It was such an easy and thing to do. The people who helped me make the tape still laugh and talk about it. And Annie me it was the most fun birthday she would remember!

In 2014 I was 22 years old and had just come back to Brazil after 14 months in England, holding my Cambridge Proficiency certificate. After nervously a short training course, I began to give class to my 12 students, all of them older than I was. I hard to remain calm in class and they wouldn't find out how unconfident I felt a lot of the time. I was quite , actually, until the end of and the night of the final oral test.
The test was going to start at 7 pm, and at 6:50, I myself in the teachers' bathroom to all the test questions again. I really wanted to learn the by heart so no one would think I was an inexperienced tester. The is, I actually locked myself in the bathroom. I couldn't get out! The bell rang at 7 pm and I could hear the noise in the halls the students went to their rooms. I tried hard to the bathroom door, but failed.
I heard the cleaning lady's voice and asked for help as as I could. However, she wasn't exactly a thoughtful person, and started ;"Diana's locked in the bathroom!"Shame had fallen upon me! the course director, the secretary and some teachers were outside the bathroom trying to get me out, and, ,my students gathered outside too, happily saying things like "Aren't we !No test today !” All I could do was , feeling miserable and utterly stupid. The door finally opened, and my entire was waiting for me outside, naughty smiles on their faces." ! Teacher.” they said," we know you are human too!"
They all passed their test. True to the Brazilian style, we all went out for a beer afterward, and laughed the whole thing off.

There are many people who could be Olympic champions. It's easy to be great because great people will help you. I’d five million people could have me in the pole vault (撑杆跳) the years I won it, at five million. Men who were stronger and faster than I was could have done it, but they never a pole, never made the to pick their legs off the ground to try to get over the bar.
Greatness is all us. It’s easy to be great because great people will help you. What is fantastic about all the conventions I go to is the greatest in the business will come and share their ideas, their methods and their with everyone else. I have seen the greatest men open up and show young people exactly how they did it. They don’t .
I’ll never forget the time I was to break Dutch Warmer Dam’s record. I was about a foot his record, so I called him on the phone. I said, "Dutch, can you me? I seem to have leveled off. I can’t get any higher."
He said, “ , Bob, come to visit me and I’ll give you all I got.” I three days with the master, the greatest pole vaulter in the world. For three days, Dutch gave me that he’d seen. To make a long short, I went up eight inches. That great guy gave me the best that he had. I’ve found that sports champions and heroes do this just to help you become great, too.
Great people will share and will tell you their . Look for them, call them on the phone or buy their books. Go they are, get around them, and talk to them. It is to be great when you get around great people.
