Su Bingtian ran into the record books at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on August 1.He became the first Chinese to enter the men's 100 m final （决赛） at the Olympics. And with 9.83 seconds in the 100 m semi﹣final （半决赛），he set a new Asian record.
Although he finished sixth，Su recorded a time of 9.98 seconds in the final，0.18 seconds behind the winner Lamont Marcell Jacobs of Italy，who clocked 9.80 seconds. "Actually，I am very happy to run under 10 seconds twice in such a short time. Making it into the finals，I have already given all I have，" Su said after the race.
The last Chinese track﹣and﹣field athlete（田径运动员）to make history at the Olympics was Liu Xiang. Liu won a gold medal in the men's 110 m hurdles （跨栏赛）in Athens in 2004 and brought China its first Olympic gold medal in a men's track﹣and﹣field event.
"If it wasn't for Liu Xiang's achievement，we'd never have thought that an Asian would step on the Olympic track﹣and﹣field final and even win the race，"Su said. "I hope my sixth place at the Olympic final will encourage more Chinese athletes to go forward."

Have you ever wondered what an American high school is really like? This article will describe a typical (典型的) high school and its students.
A typical American high school has several large buildings and enough space for about 1,500 students. Every student is given a locker. When students first arrive at school, they go straight to their lockers to put away or get their textbooks and to hang up their outdoor clothes. During the 2014 YOG, not only players but also volunteers impressed us a lot this summer. Seven years ago, Starbucks closed a shop in Beijing’s Forbidden City after a well-known TV host talked about if the US coffee fits into the old Chinese building.
Five years later, Starbucks seemed to regain its confidence(自信). It opened a shop beside Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou with more than 1,600 years of history. People started to talk about it online. They were not sure if the coffee business would do bad to this old temple(庙).
Some people still think that the Starbucks shop should not be opened near temples. They think it is not only a coffee shop, but a cultural invasion(文化侵略).
