The Edinburgh Ceilidh Club is held every Tuesday night at Summerhall， Newington， Edinburgh． We have the best of Scottish ceilidh bands each week． The bands have a caller who will teach the dances， so the event is great for everyone， from complete beginners to experienced ceilidh dancers． Come and experience Scottish dance the way it's meant to be!

Chinese companies lead in global 5G patent applications with Huawei taking the crown, according to a report by IPlytics, an authorized patent data company. Three companies from China were included in the top 10 list of 5G Standards-Essential Patents (SEPs) family owners, Huawei ranked first. ZTE Corp and China Academy of Telecommunications Technology (CATT) grabbed fifth and ninth places.
Chinese companies topped the list with most 5G SEPs applications in communication systems by the end of April 2019, accounting for 34 percent of the world's total. Chinese tech giant Huawei has taken a leading role by owning 15 percent of SEPs, according to the report "Who Is Leading the 5G Patent Race?"
SG SEPs are patents that any company will have to use when carrying out 5G and no one can avoid them.
Different from 3G and 4G technologies, 5G technology will influence various industries and encourage the appearance of many new products, services and industries.
The automotive sector will most likely be one of the first industries to depend on 5G, which will connect vehicles to other vehicles, roadsides, traffic lights buildings and the Internet according to the report.
"It is 5G that is going to be a huge jump forward for communication systems because only with 5G's higher bandwidth can a number of applications be more advanced and used by most consumers," said Nicole Peng, senior director of the market research company Canalys.
As 5G technology has combined various industries and technologies, the number of 5G SEPs rose to more than 60,000 globally by the end of April 2019, the report said.

December 27, 2019 was an exciting day for Chinese people. China's biggest and most powerful rocket, the Long March 5, was successfully launched in Hainan on that day.
The 57-meter-tall rocket is the tallest and strongest rocket in China. Since the Long March 5 is much bigger than others in the Long March rockets, it has been nicknamed "Chubby 5", according to China Daily.
The rocket is able to carry things weighing up to 25,000 kilograms-the weight of 16 midsize cars, China Daily noted. This payload is about 2.5 times greater than any other Chinese rocket. The Long March 5 is the third most powerful rocket in the world. Our Chinese scientists are really proud of it.
During the December launch, the Long March 5 successfully sent the Shijian 20th satellite, China's largest and heaviest home-made satellite, into space. In addition to sending the satellite into space, the launch also tested several projects that were used to improve the rocket's basic skills. It also tested the key project that will be used to take the Change 5 probe to the moon, according to the China National Space Center.
In the future, the Long March 5 will be used for China's fifth lunar expedition, as well as to place parts of China's space-station into space. "In 2021, we will use the Long March 5 to launch the Change's 5 probe to the moon and also send a special probe to Mars," said Wang Xiaojun, the project manager of the Long March 5.

Two years ago, Chai graduated from Tianjin College of University of Science and Technology. He took over his parents' 20,000 square meter plot of land and set up a business: growing Chinese chives.
