Sleep is a very important part of our lives. After a long day, we all like the feeling of a soft bed. We know how good it will feel in the morning after we get some rest. Sleep is also very important to animals. They also need sleep after they work hard.
Some animals sleep in the sea.Fish have eyelids (眼睑),so they sleep with their eyes open! sea otters sleep in seaweed (海草)on top of the sea,The seaweed keeps the otters from mov﹣ing along. Most sharks keep swimming when they sleep. Some fish find a little hole in the coral(珊瑚)hide so they can sleep. The clown fish turns on its side to sleep at the bottom of the sea.
Some animals sleep under the ground! When it's hot, many frogs sleep in a hole because they
want to avoid die heat. Some frogs spend the whole summer in their holes. Groundhogs live in holes in the ground, so they also sleep underground. Foxes sometimes steal a groundhog's home and use it astheir own home.
What about animals that live above the ground? Birds sleep in their nests on trees.A bird's
claws (爪)close when they sleep. This helps them stay oil the tree. Bats sleep upside down for twenty hours a day!
No matter what kind of animal you are, you need your sleep.
