Time flies! This is a third year that I have been in this school. In the past two and a half years, our school had organized many activities. What impressed me best was an activity called “Learning to Farm”. In an autumn afternoon, we were sent to a farm which we learned to plant potatoes. Having been in the city for so a long time, we were so happy to go to the countryside. After divided into 3 groups, we started to work. Some students cut potatoes into pieces; some dug holes, and the others put the pieces into the hole, put the earth back and pushed them down hard. We continued doing that until all the work was done. Young people have different attitude towards music．As we all known，most people throughout the world love music．Anyway，nowadays young people have begun to show enthusiasm for pop stars．

I was not good in math in the first year of junior high schoo1．Having been failed so many times in math exams，I was anxious about the subject．Every time I tried hardly to work out a math problem，I was afraid of making mistakes，that really made me feel helpless．Luckily，I met a nice math teacher in second year. She told me that I didn’t need to worry about making mistakes because I could find out my shortcomings through my mistake．She always encouraged myself to try again whenever I make a mistake．Thanks to my teacher’s encouragement，I became interesting in math and made rapid progress．My experience proves that failure was the mother of success and that we can learn a lot from our mistakes．

My uncle was the biology professor. When I was young he was used to take me to the biology lab, when I saw pigs, cats and other animals. My uncle also influenced me through nature walks. He often takes me for a walk in the backyard. We would catch frogs and snake, and find fireflies in the sky. He seemed know everything about wildlife. Eighteen years later, think about my uncle and her influence on my life, I feel very lucky. I am grateful that I got the chance to learn for him. He helped me develop my interest in all that was alive and sometimes death around me.

Last month my brother and I visited Nanjing and we stay at the Central Hotel for a week. It is in the center of the city, but it is easy to go to anywhere from the hotel by bus.
We lived in comfortable double-room with a big bath. That I liked best was the free high - speed Internet connection in the room. I checked many email message every day. I also shared for my friends many photos taking in Nanjing. The food was wonderfully with reasonable prices and we enjoyed several local dishes.
It is such a great hotel that I’ll recommend it to any friend of me who is going to Nanjing.
