I hoped that you are well. We have arrived at our new home in Australia. The house is very nice. It has big windows in each wall. The bright sunshine comes into every room. The weather is much better than that in England.
I have started at my new school. Everyone is friendly, but I do miss my friends at home, especially you! Australians all seem to be very good at sport, unlike you and me. I find it quite difficult to fit in during break time, because all the other girls are busy running around playing netball or basketball.

My father died when I was five． It was hard on us all． My brother， who is eight years older than me， began to take care of my mother and me．
