假定英语课上老师要求同桌之间交换修改作文，请你修改你同桌写的以下作文。文中共有10处语言错误，每句中最多有两处。每处错误仅涉及一个单词的增加、删除或修改。
增加: 在缺词处加一个漏字符号(∧)，并在其下面写出该加的词。
删除: 把多余的词用斜线( \ )划掉。

It was on Sunday so I didn’t have to go to school as usually. My parents went to the countryside to see my grandparents, left me alone. After finishing my homework, I began to play football at home. All of a sudden, I kicked the ball so hardly that it flew right onto a vase and broke it. It was great favorite of my mother’s. I decided to tell my parents it was the fault of the cat for fear that she should punish me. Therefore, when they got home, I hesitated for a moment and told them that truly happened. Instead of punishing me, they just hoped that I will never make so a foolish mistake again.
Knowing how to do in case of fire is important. If a fire break out, what would you do? First, you should warn everyone in the building about the danger. Don’t panic or start shouting. Be calmly and act quickly. Second, you and all the others should be get out of the building. Don’t stop take anything with you. Once you are out of the building, stay out. Do not go back for some reason. Finally, when you are out of the building, calling the fire police. Don’t try to put off the fire yourself. That can be dangerous if you do.
It was a chance of a lifetime to win the first
prize on the Story Writing Show. All I had to do
was to write a story or present it. My teachers
have been telling me how great my writing was.
So if they had said was true, I would have a chance
of winning the prize. What were better, I had useful
help. There was Uncle Chen, gentleman living
near my house, who was a very much famous writer.
He agreed to reading my story and give me some
advices on how to write like a real writer.

Walter's goal in life was become a successfully doctor. He knew he had to finish high school first, so he puts his heart into his studies — in particular, biology, chemistry, or maths. Because he worked hard at these subjects, Walter became good at it. However, Walter forgot what he needed to master some other subjects besides those he had been chosen. As a result, Walter failed both English and Latin in the end of the second school year. But he had to repeat these subjects and he was almost unable to graduate like planned. Walter learned a good lesson.

June 12, Sunday, Fine
Today is Sunday. I didn't get up early as usually. In the morning after I finished my home-work, I do some washing. Then I telephoned one of my classmate and invited him to see a film. And unfortunately, when we got to the cinema at 3:00 p.m. we found all the tickets had sold out. So we went to our school and played the football. After that, when we were about to go home, we saw our English teacher, Mr. Wang, came into the school gate. He told us we had made many progress in English this term. He also suggested that we should read more and wrote more. We promised that we would take his advices.
