People celebrate New Year with happiness and joy by exchanging gifts and spending time with their families and friends, but some superstitions(迷信)are followed by many people around the world. Here are some New Year s superstitions.
One of the most popular New Year’ s superstitions is that you should kiss your beloved and dear ones at the stroke(报时的钟声)of midnight．It is said that those who fail to do so will have cold relationships with their loved ones for a whole year.
The New Year should not begin with unpaid debts. It is always said that all the bills should be paid off before the old year closes.
We can’t take anything out of the house on the first day of the year.  Actually, some people think it’s okay to remove things from the house so that something else has the chance to be brought in.
