I met Rose, my new classmate, on the first day of college. To my surprise, she was already 87 years old. "Why are you in college at such a young age?" I joked. "I'm here to meet a rich man, get married, have two children, and then retire and travel." She answered.
Like young students, Rose was outgoing, kind and helpful. Soon she became a superstar in our college.
At the end of the term, Rose was invited to give us a speech. I will never forget what she said to us, "There are only four secrets to staying young and achieving success."
"First, you have to laugh and find humor(幽默感) every day. Then, you need to have a dream. Next, find any chance to change yourself. Finally, people shouldn't have regrets(遗憾) for things they didn't do."
Over 2 000 students went to her funeral(葬礼) to express their love to the wonderful woman.
The great woman didn't live in this world any longer, but she gave us an unforgettable lesson in life. That is—Don't you think so?

When powering a fuel cell, the only waste is water. However, hydrogen is difficult to store. It also burns easily.

Through both the works themselves and the people they mirror, we may better be able to see ourselves. In this course, we will read works in both British and American literature（文学）. We will write reviews of what we read.

What is technical writing? It is the course devoted to improving your communication skills in, for , and through technology. Activities for this course will help you develop communication skills that are necessary for writers and speakers working with technology or in business.

The course is a study of non-fiction through reading many different types of non-fiction. The course will also be about the possible changes in journalistic reporting and the sharing of personal stories of various people on various topics such as travel and adventure. We will examine some of the best writing in the world and deal with the techniques used in this text type.

World Literature — by Mrs. A. McClellan
World Literature examines the common people found in quality Literature worldwide, from Europe to America, from Asia to Africa, and introduces a variety of cultural background at different points in history. In these worlds, we find not only what is unique to each culture, but what is universal. We are also able to tell what makes for a good story, no matter from where or whom the story springs.
46.Mike spent his childhood mostly in his father’ s study, where he read novels by British and American writers. Next term he will become a senior student. He thinks it’ s time that he read more of their works and learned to write about them.

D. Humayun's Tomb, Delhi
This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal. The gardens also contain the red-and-white sandstone and black-and-yellow marble tomb of Humayun’s wife and the tomb of Humayun’s barber.
E. Grand Canyon National Park
The Grand Canyon is perhaps the most awesome sight in the United States--and one of the wonders of the world. Much of the park's beauty is related to its geology and ecology. Schmidt explores the shape of the land, its plants and animals, and its human history. A fascinating book that everyone visiting the Grand Canyon should read. The Skywalk at Grand Canyon West is really exciting.
F.Sundarbans National Park
The Sundarbans covers 10,000 sq. km of land and water (more than half of it in India, the rest in Bangladesh) in the Ganges delta. It contains the world's largest area of mangrove forests. A number of rare or endangered species live in the park, including tigers, aquatic mammals, birds and reptiles.
