More than 26 million Americans took part in the Vietnam (越南)War. More than 58,000 of them 21 ; over 300,000 were 22 , and nearly 2300 were missing and thought dead. Like any good mother, when Karen found out that another was on the way, she did what she could to help her three-year-old son, Michael, for a new life. They found out that the new baby was going to be a girl, and every day Michael sang to his in Mommy’s tummy.
