One day I hurried home for lunch after school because of there would be an exam in the afternoon. I expected get back early to prepare for the exam. But when I got home, the lunches was not ready yet. I am unhappy. When the dishes were served, I found none what I liked. I ran out of the house angry, and then walking in the street for a while. When I got into the room, I saw the lunch box on my desk. One classmate told me my mother had brought them for me. Before opening the box, I found my favorite food inside. My eyes quickly filled with tears.

My name is Linda. I used to living in the countryside of Chicago with my parents, that were born in New York. Living in the countryside have a lot of advantages. Last summer I go to America and studied at a language school. I had many wonderful experience，but I also had a sad one. One day，the school held party，where I invited to talk about Tianjin. After that they asked me a lot of things about China. But I couldn’t explain them with English clearly. I felt sadly. I learnt a lesson from this experience. I have already studied English for eight years，I can’t use it very good. I must work hard to improve my spoken English so that I will not be able to communicate freely with foreigners. As is well know, when senior students graduate from school, most of their textbooks are thrown away , that are still in good condition. What waste of it ! I quite agree to the suggestion that we should recycle these textbooks. For one thing, recycling textbooks can save a lot of nature materials, which are used to making textbooks. For other, senior students may have plenty of usefulnotes on the pages. They are very helpful to those textbooks users. However, the cost of the books will unload some burden of the families of the students. Actually in Australia and some other countries, recycling textbooks are popular and that it gives us a good example. Why can’t they have a try?

Do you know how it is that cats eat first and wash their hands and faces afterwards? One day a unlucky mouse was just about to be eaten with a cat. The mouse was quick-minded. He say to the cat, "Don’t you have any manner at all? Everyone knows you should wash your hands and face after you eat." The cat ashamed of this and began to wash. While the cat was washing happy, the mouse ran off, and so the cat lost her meal. Ever since then cats have been eaten first and washed them afterwards.
