When we learn English, we always find we have difficulties in remembering the names of the months. Therefore, if we know something about the history of the months, possibly it won't be very harder for us to remember them. The following is one of example. January named after God Janus. He was a strange god because he has two faces. He could look in two directions. He could look forward or backward at the same time. He was the god of endings and beginnings. January is the month on which one looks forward to the new year and it's also a period of time how people think about the past year.

As is known to all, we student should learn to get along well with others. But how? First of all, we should respect others. Everybody have their own way to do things, so we should understand each other. Secondly, this is important for us to communicate with each other and share their happiness and sadness. In addition to, we should be willing to do everything what we can to help those in trouble. More importantly, if we lived in the school’s dormitory, we should always be carefully not to disturb others. Don’t bring friends back to the dorm in the mid-night, or playing computer games with some loud music on. Such behaviors will certainly hurt relationship between you and your roommates.

I am writing to ask for whether you are able to do me a favor. I want to have a pen pal, hopefully a girl in the early twenties, and with interests similarly to mine. In my mind, he is someone interesting in traveling, swimming, and playing table tennis. Beside, it will be better for her to have a pet dog as I have been keeping one at home for some time. With such pen pal, I hope I can share with her my experiences in traveling, taking care of pets, or whichever we have in common. I come back from Britain last week. I was luckily enough to be one of the student from different countries to visit the UK from Feb. 16 to 28. We paid a visit to many places, like London, Oxford or the Lake District. I learned much about British culture and history in the London, where was my favorite. I also liked Oxford, in which I saw much more old buildings. The Lake District was beautiful, but it was pity that it rained heavily when they were there. The most excited thing for me in Britain was that I made a lot of friends there.
