It was almost five years since I began to learn English. I’m glad to say I’m getting along well with it. However, first I came across a lot of difficulties. I couldn’t pronounce English sounds good, nor could I remember the words I had learned. In class, I couldn’t understand that the teacher had said. I almost lost my heart when the teacher said to me, “Keeping on and you will do well.” I was greatly encouraging. I started working hard at English. With the help by my teacher and classmates, I made some progresses. I’m very pleased, but I will work harder.

This morning I went to the shoes shop to buy a pair of new shoes. When I got there, I noticed a foreign lady talk to a salesgirl. But the salesgirl didn’t understand that the foreigner was saying. They both looked worrying. I went up to help them. The lady is Australian. She wanted to buy a pair of traveling shoes. So I told it to the salesgirl. The lady was very much glad when she took it. She sings high praise for my spoken English. All of them expressed their thanks to me. I felt happy that I expressed myself free in English.
Nowadays, mobile phones are more and more popular in our society． Even many students of high schools have got their own mobile phone． The mobile phone does offer a lot convenience to us． With a mobile phone, we can call the others not matter where we are． We can also send short messages． But, the mobile phone brings trouble as well． The signals of the phone disturbed our living space too much． Sometimes it will be unsafe or impolite to use a mobile phone． What’s more, it can be bad for the students who pay too more attention to it． It seems it’s not necessary for our middle school students to have a phone． In a word, if they use the mobile phone in a proper way, it can help us a lot without bring us troubles．

Thank you for your last letter asked about our library．
Let me make a brief introduction with our library． It is locating in front of our teaching building, facing the garden on the other side． And a variety of trees are planted around it． The wonderful circumstances make that a splendid place to study．
Our library has a great deal of books, covering all fields of science, literature, art or so on． But you can easily pick up that you need, since they are clearly classified in order．
The library is open from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, and closed at weekends． You can borrow five books at one time and should return it in ten days． Or you can just read inside the library as enough tables and chairs were provideD．

As new students at an university in Boston, many of us were unfamiliar with the campus but frequently late for class．One professor, however, was absolute against being late, making clear that no excuse would be acceptable．So when a girl student came in his class one morning late, we expected the worst results．It left the professor so annoying that he demand the reason ．“The reason is that my waiting online to buy your new book．” She replied very nervously．Delighted at being admired , the professor asked the rest of the class , “ Well , how were not the rest of you late？”
