In one way of thinking, failure is part of life. In way, failure may be a way towards success. The “Spider-story” is often .Robert Bruce , leader of the Scots in the 13 th century, was hiding in a cave from the English. He watched a spider a web. The spider tried to reach across a rough in the rock. He tried six times without success .On the time he made it and went on to make his web. Bruce is said to have been encouraged by this and to have gone on to the English . Edison , the inventor of the light bulb, made models that failed before he found the right way to make one. Once he was asked he kept on trying to make a new type of battery when he had failed so often, he replied, “Failure? I have failure. Now I know 50,000 ways it won't ”.
So what? First, always think about your failure. What caused ?Were conditions right? Were you in top from yourself? What can you change? So things will go next time.
Second, is the goal you're trying to reach the right one? Try to do some about what your real goals may be. Think about this question. “If I do succeed in this, where will it get me?" This may help you prevent failure in things you shouldn't be doing any way.
The third thing to keep in about failure is that it's a part of life. Learn to “live with yourself" even though you may have .

Cosplay is great!
Cosplay is short for “costume play”, which means play-acting in costumes. People who take part in cosplay are called cosplayers. They usually create or make costumes of their favorite animation characters by themselves or get a tailor to make them. Sometimes they even prepare small things, like knives and earrings, which the characters wear or use in the animation.
Cosplayers are creative and proud of their work. They spend a lot of money and energy on it. They not only dress up as their favorite characters in the animation, but also act like the characters.
New trend (趋势) is on!
While Chinese fans are busy cosplaying characters in Japanese animations or movies, Japan, as a big country of cosplay, now has a trend to cosplay non-Japanese movie characters. Japanese cosplayers like the characters in Star Wars and Lord of the Rings very much. But the most popular ones are from the Harry Potter films. They have a very large number of fans in Japan. The character who is liked the best by Japanese cosplayers in Harry Potter films is Draco Malfoy, though he is Harry’s rival(对手) and always tries to get Harry and his friends into trouble.
Cosplay doesn’t have anything to do with age. Whether you are 5 or 50 years old, you can be a cosplayer if you are creative enough!

Sitting on a chair all day in school can make anyone want to move around. So, more and more teachers are letting students have a ball. By sitting on exercise balls instead of chairs , teachers find students’ posture and attention improve.
Dottie Pownall, a fifth-grade teacher in West Virginia, USA, has been using balls as chairs since December 2008. “The students love them”, she says. Pownall took a survey of her students. She found that 80% of the students thought sitting on the balls helped them pay more attention to what they were learning.
The teacher, Pisa Witt, felt so strongly about the use of balls as chairs, she started Witt Fitt. This company encourages the use of the balls. And the company educates not only teachers but also students on how to use them. “Our products are used in 24 states, three provinces in Canada, Puerto Rico and Japan,” says Witt, “ Research shows that sitting on the balls makes them sit up straighter. You can slouch(低头垂肩地坐)on a ball,” says Witt, “but it feels bad.” Because the students are moving, their blood increases. That carries more oxygen to the brain , so the kids have more energy and can pay attention longer.
“Besides, they’re fun.” says Pownall.

What should you think about when trying to find your career? You are probably better at some school subjects than others. These may show strengths that you can use in your work. A boy who is good at mathematics can use that in an engineering career. A girl who spells well and likes English may be good at office work. So it is important to know the subjects you do well in at school. On the other hand, you may not have any specially strong subjects but your records show a general satisfactory standard. Although not all subjects can be used directly in a job, they may have indirect value. A knowledge of history is not required for most jobs but if history is one of your good subjects you will have learned to remember facts and details. This is an ability that can be useful in many jobs.
Your school may have taught you skills, such as typing or technical drawing, which you can use in your work. You may be good at metalwork or cookery and look for a job where you can improve these skills. If you have had a part-time job on Saturdays or in the summer, think what you gained from it. If nothing else, you may have learned how to get to work on time, to follow instructions and to get on with older workers. You may have learned to give correct change in a shop, for example. Just as important, you may become interested in a particular industry or career you see from the inside in a part-time job.
Facing your weak points is also part of knowing yourself. You may be all thumbs when you handle tools; perhaps you are a poor speller or cannot add up a column of figures. It is better to face any weakness than to pretend they do not exist. Your school record, for instance, may not be too good, yet it is an important part of your background. You should not be apologetic about it but instead recognize that you will have a chance of a fresh start at work.
We can infer from the first paragraph that ________.
A.learning better at school shows power in your job B.the better you are at school subjects, the more helpful they are in your career. C.learning each subject well is an ability in many jobs. D.we should think about how to find our career

Perhaps the biggest difference between Chinese and Westerners is not what we eat, but
w we eat it. I’ve noticed that Chinese seem to eat the same food any time of day. To a westerner, this is I could never eat rice or noodles in the morning.
Westerners also eat dessert after dinner and it is usually s sweet like cakes, ice cream, or fruit pies. Dessert is often my favorite part of the meal, but u it is not served in Chinese.
difference I have noticed is that in Chinese restaurants, everybody at the same table eats the same food. This practice is actually more common around the world, in India and the Middle East for example, t in the west where people order a different meal each. I quite like the Chinese way where the meal is s . My only problem is with the chopsticks—more of the food ends up on the table than in my m .
One thing that surprised me the first time I went to a restaurant in China was the size of the personal plates—they are so . It makes sense, though. Chinese don’t need large plates because the food is served in bite-sized pieces that can go straight from the serving dish into your mouth. Westerners have very large plates because there needs to be r for all the food to put in at once.
